Nicholas Heath Productions

Hello everyone!

www.nickheathproductions.com

Welcome! I'm Dr. Nicholas Heath, and Nicholas Heath Productions is the home for the projects I've built around my lifelong interests in education, photography, and creative design.

Although these projects are very different on the surface, they all share the same philosophy: create things that are useful, thoughtfully designed, and made to last. Whether I'm developing classroom resources for teachers, photographing the landscapes of the American West, or building a family-friendly axolotl brand inspired by my daughter's imagination, I enjoy taking ideas from concept to completion with care and attention to detail.

Please take a look around and explore the projects below. I hope you find something that inspires you, teaches you something new, or simply brings a smile to your day.

Educated with Dr. Heath

Educated with Dr. Heath is my educational publishing brand, created to help teachers and students spend less time struggling with instructional materials and more time learning. After years in the classroom, I began developing resources that combined strong academic content with practical classroom experience. The goal has always been to make challenging ideas easier to understand without oversimplifying them.

Within Educated with Dr. Heath are several specialized projects:

Heath Social Studies focuses on high-quality curriculum, lessons, assessments, and instructional materials for secondary social studies classrooms. From AP Macroeconomics and World History to California History and Ethnic Studies, these resources are designed to promote critical thinking while remaining practical for busy teachers.

Hack My Teacher helps students understand how school really works. Rather than focusing only on subject matter, it teaches the habits, communication skills, and strategies that allow students to build strong relationships with their teachers and become more successful learners.

The Introverted Teacher is a project especially close to my heart. As an introvert myself, I know that many excellent educators quietly wonder if their personality fits the profession. This project offers encouragement, practical strategies, and research-based ideas that help introverted teachers thrive without pretending to be someone they're not.

Nicholas Heath Photography

Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine and an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the remarkable places that often go unnoticed. Much of my work focuses on the deserts, mountains, railroads, ghost towns, and wide-open landscapes of the American Southwest.

Rather than chasing dramatic moments alone, I'm drawn to places with stories to tell, forgotten highways, quiet canyons, historic landmarks, abandoned structures, and the subtle beauty that reveals itself when you spend time looking carefully.

Through photographs, articles, videos, and educational content, I hope to encourage others to explore these places with curiosity and respect. Whether you're interested in history, geology, nature, or simply beautiful landscapes, I invite you to come along on the journey.

Axowotals

Axowotals began as a fun family project inspired by my daughter's love of axolotls. Like many kids, she was fascinated by their permanent smiles, unique appearance, and playful personalities. Before long, we found ourselves imagining what a store devoted entirely to these wonderful little amphibians might look like.

Today, Axowotals offers a growing collection of plushies, toys, accessories, apparel, gifts, and other axolotl-themed products selected with families, collectors, and animal lovers in mind. We also hope the brand sparks curiosity about the real axolotl—a fascinating and critically endangered species native to Mexico that deserves both admiration and conservation.

Above all, Axowotals is meant to be fun. It's a place where imagination, creativity, and a little bit of whimsy come together, and we're excited to share that with others who appreciate these remarkable little creatures.
